Making Homemade Eggnog

THE STORY...

I've told this story a hundred times, and it has never changed—and neither has our original family recipe!

I was introduced to the Schmidt Family recipe as a young boy, standing beside my father as we prepared it together for friends and family gatherings. Over the years, I haven't changed the recipe itself—it's perfect just as it is—but I've certainly perfected the care and craftsmanship I put into making each batch.

Word spread quickly about how delicious our recipe is, and before long, everyone wanted a taste! Today, I pour meticulous attention into every single batch, ensuring that each sip captures the same unforgettable flavor and exceptional quality that my family has cherished for generations.

What's in it?

Well, I'm not going to give away all my secrets, but here's what I can share...

It's the perfect combination of PASTEURIZED EGGS, WATER, SUGAR, and ALL THE RIGHT BOOZES! Absolutely NO DAIRY, NO CREAM, and NO MILK! That's why I proudly say, "It's not your typical eggnog!"

Remember, EGGS are NOT dairy—they're only conveniently sold in the dairy section.

And sorry, but this recipe simply can't be made non-alcoholic—every ingredient listed relies on the others to create its signature taste!

FLAVORS!

The Original Flavor Bottle

The Original

Best enjoyed cold with a sprinkle of nutmeg. The classic go-to and the perfect “I want to try Greg’s Eggnog” starter.
Maple Flavor Bottle

Maple

The same rich recipe with a splash of maple. Some say it’s like drinking breakfast—I say it’s a better Fall flavor than pumpkin spice. It’s Egg-nOg’clock somewhere!
Graham Crackers

Graham Cracker

Yes, Graham Cracker as a drink! A newer flavor that’s won over taste testers with its toasty, comforting notes. An experience worth trying.
Vintage Cacao Pod

Chocolate

Decadent, rich, and velvety—this one leans into true chocolate flavor rather than a candy-bar taste. A new family favorite that’s here to stay.
Vintage Cacao Pod

Chocolate Mint

Take the true chocolate flavor and add a POP of minty deliciousness and welcome the newest flavor for this season. Going after that YPP or Jr.M flavor! (IYKYK)
Premium Top Shelf Ingredients

Premium

Pinky finger up! Same recipe, but made with elevated, top-shelf ingredients. Smooth, indulgent, and perfect when you deserve “A Little Extra.”

Questions?

Eggnog Shelf Life

Q: How long does Greg's Eggnog last?

A: One of the most asked questions! Personally, I know it's GOOD FOR A YEAR when kept cold and sealed. It's tradition to drink the first bottle from the previous year when I start a new season. YUM to another year—cheers!

Q: Is Greg's Eggnog homemade?

A: Yes! I take great care in making every batch using FOOD GRADE EQUIPMENT. I've perfected my method over time, and switching to pasteurized eggs has improved both quality and ease of preparation.
